Painting Weave Poles & Jump Poles

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been done..

Has anyone painted their own pvc, what did you use? Did you need to prepare the surface first or did you just spray paint directly?

Cheers,

Mel.

We just used coloured electrical tape.

Our club uses tape on the jump bars and on each end of weave poles and the broad jump uprights.

I have used tape as well, but my poles spend a lot of time out in the elements.

I have read that particularly when teaching 2x2 often the dogs hair gets pulled by the tape - and I do have Toller hair in the tape on my poles.

I want something more permanent.

Why do you want to paint weave poles - all our competition ones are white?

If your painting pvc, you need a paint thats a least 80% acrylic.

I have used wattyl solagard low sheen on plastic for outside stuff with good results.

Oh no prep just make sure its clean and dry before starting, otherwise you will get crap all over your applicator :(
