huga
Makes sense that you would come across her through work. It's all a bit... pastelly and fluffy for me, but she's obviously very good at what she does.
PossumCorner
..... If anyone else has stumpled across great photographers post the link because Im sure we all love the inspiration. I don't know where the work on this Animoto presentation fits between Brunelli and Hale. http://video214.com/play/2c32RZHOypvyMQ9aD8ieuw/s/dark - the shoot was a fundraiser for rescue, (there are links at the end of it for BSL info and Pit Bull rescue). Where I think these shots approach great is that they are from one full-on two-day charity shoot, so under pressure - and has still caught a lot of personality without making it schmaltzy or like Huga said, "fluffy". Kirislin - have you seen Julie Poole's shots of Whippets? She has a new Animoto of them with some good action shots.

raz
I am always looking for photographers work that has something different and unique then the normal pet photography you see everyday. I stumbled across Giacomo Brunelli and his work is so incredible, haunting and mysterious. Just WOW!! I would hang all his work on my walls. Take a look. Very clever - his photos all look like accidents. It would be great to meet him and find out if he's as weird as he comes across

Ripley
Recently, I was very moved by the work of Tommaso Ausili who won a category in this year's 'Sony World Photographer of the Year' comp for the Photojournalism and Documentary category. He has taken very confronting images of animals in an abbatoir awaiting slaughter. I sent his photos to a few people and one of my friends said the abbatoir is in Umbria, Italy, she was so moved to tears by his photos (she's vegetarian). Don't click on this link if you are squeamish. I like photos that affect me emotionally, whether they make me upset (like these did) or happy. Sony World Photography gallery - Tommaso Ausili's The Hidden Death. (there are other winners of categories in this link as well) http://www.ipernity.com/doc/wpa/7474208?fr...p;at=1267624652 more from Tommaso Ausili with that category here: http://www.worldpressphoto.org/index.php?o...;bandwidth=high I love this photographer's wildlife images, he won a category in last year's World Wildlife Photographer of the Year. PossumCorner, you may be interested in his images, I love his Arctic series. Kirislin
I tried one too. he's not dead, and he's not suffering, it's my Pucky just being a character actor. Does it look creepy? Edited August 20, 2010 by Kirislin

I would never hang it in my house, but I like it..
