Shakti
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/794562...lty-of-contempt Was just thinking how easy would it be for this man to have bought another dog that looked similar and taken it in to be PTS to keep Max alive? casowner
There are no mandatory microchipping laws in SA and I highly doubt he was chipped and I wouldn't put it past his owner to do the old switcheroo
Shakti
I must admit I wondered that the guy would risk so much to rescue his dog and then have it PTS anyway. I mean maybe he did but just wondered if it would have been possible for him to switch it? $20,000 in fines - that is a very loved dog regardless of the outcome! Sue
There was a case recently in NZ where a dog had attacked a person and was ordered to be destroyed. The owner went and got a dog being offered for rehoming free and took it to the vets and had it destroyed in his pets place. Somehow the deceit was discovered, not sure what happened to the dog which was meant to be destroyed but the owners of the dog given away were very upset. Shakti
I think in this case Max mauled another dog - am not sure if the victim was PTS or managed to survive?
