Guest Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 im getting a puppy this sunday, but im a little worried... i have 2 other house mates who have 3 other pets (2 puppies and 1 cat) i thin kit might be a little to much for my new addition. they were ment to be moving out this weekend but now things have changed.. i cant kick them out. how can i make it less stessful for my newbie?? Shiba pup on his way Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 i recommend crate training - dogs need their own space just as much as we do - a little den for him or her. not sure if you can keep your pup separated from the rest of the household pets - but i would def try that for as long as possible - in fact if you dont know if you're other household pets are immunised then you have too! I found bring my eight week old puppy home to a two year old adult it made him stress less as it was like he had his mum there .. company for when I couldn't be there.
