TsarsMum
i was just wondering what is the norm to how much you hear from your breeder? do you contact them much at all? or do they do all the contacting?
Bjelkier
All the time, can't get rid of him I joke, we are friends and show together sometimes so we keep in contact pretty often. I think it's nice and really hope I can have a similar relationship with some of my own puppy buyers one day

Genabee
Once we had picked out the pup (at three weeks), our breeder emailed us once to twice a week with photos updates and a sentence or two of what she had been doing. I was also emailing her all the time with questions. Since having her home, I email her pic updates every now and then, whenever I take some good pics and send them to the family or put them on facebook, I include her. Janba
From the breeders of 2 never - but they are not bad breeders. From the third regularly even though she is overseas.
BCPuppy
Not much when we were waiting for her, but there were computer issues, more contact since we brought her home, I send photos and updates regularly she always responds so I figure she likes to see how one of her puppies is doing, and we have spoken a couple of times on the phone when I have had silly new owner worries . W Sibs
Umm... not as often. Emmy's breeder doesn't have a computer so everything is done by snail mail. I actually sent her a letter with photos and copies of Emmy's graduations certificates today We try to talk on the phone once every month but both of us are sooo busy. Would be easier if she had a computer..
Edenishy
My breeder and I have great communication, i'm very pleased indeed. Apparently I was even the first person outside her immediate family she told when the birth took place...even after she had a night of no sleep because of such. She kept in constant touch thru the first few weeks to keep me updated on progress and has steadily since. We email and chat on the phone often (at least a couple of times a week). Lately I have been getting more and more pictures and some guides on what food she has been feeding, what worming treatments shes been using etc. Basically a guide to Beagles and a good one at that (as trust me, Ive been reading alot of them!) Once the puppy is here at its new home, I will send her thru pictures etc often and keep her upated on her progress as she grows. Plus I'm sure i will be looking towards her for some guidance in getting my puppy into the show ring as it's something I dont have any hands on experience with and something the breeder seems excited for me to be doing.
