Dog 'shoes' Or 'boots'.....

Wonder if some of you have used doggy boots or shoes before and what successes or failures you've had with them.

long story short, my newly adopted adult Chow, Kaching, has a problem that our last Chow had, only Kaching has more of a problem with it.

because of their unique gait and foot shape , they tend to scrape some of their front nails on the ground each step they take.

My old boy would scrape back to the quicks maybe a few times a year, but with poor Kaching its a daily grind (lol bad pun) ...... we have tried socks and they help, but we really need something sturdy that will enable her to actually grow a bit of toe nail for protection

so can anybody suggest a sturdy functional 'dog shoe' for the front feet of a Chow??

Thanks in advance

DBT maybe pm Miss Squish. I believe she may have some doggy shoes looking for a home. Kaching was a rescue wasn't she?

I've tried Ruff Wear boots in the past for Daisy to help with a foot chewing issue, they were fine around the house but didn't stay on great outside. I think with a larger dog though they would be great as they were very well made and seemed very tough. Daisy doesn't have much of an 'ankle' so they slid down too easily, but should be fine for a bigger pawed dog
