bridie
Has any-one invested in a chastity belt for their female,if so are you satisfied that it is fool proof ?? I had often wondered if there was such a thing and found this site www.pabsforpets.com Very interested to hear the feed back & if they can be purchased in AU? I also wonder if female nappies could be adapted for the same cause? I have Chihuahuas. I eagely await your response. Thanks
Aziah
No no no! Keep your bitch in season crated or securely penned whilst she is in season, do not rely on the above, don't reply on friends or family to do the right things either if they aren't dog savvy. becks
The only fool proof method is to have the bitch desexed. i wouldn't trust my girls to be safe with that contraption
persephone
Simple management - crates, different rooms , constant supervision- or speying.
Christina
Separation is the only foolproof way. Apart from the dog constantly trying to get at her imagine if he did somehow & they got tangled up in the thing if it didn't come right off. Could cause damage to either one. Some dogs can half strangle themselves with dog coats.
LizT
Agree with all above. Could you imagine the frustration and 'attempts' if the bitch on heat was 'showing' this of to the poor lad!!?? It doesn't matter what she is wearing, a bitch in heat smells like a bitch in heat and they would both behave as instinct dictates. Keep them apart.
