Been A While...

Hi All,

I have been a reader of the forums for a while but never really posted. We have had a few heart breaks in our family in the last two years but things are looking much brighter and though I might share the story with you. Sorry for the length.

Nearly two years ago our rescue Boxer girl, Connie, swallowed a bone at a relative’s house which lodged in her oesophagus. Connie had major surgery to remove the bone and we nursed her back to health over a period of months where she was given little chance of survival. Our strong girl Connie pulled through much to our vets surprise but not ours. Connie has lost a little of her youthful zip but she is still with us.

About a year ago we lost our beloved Boxer boy, Atlas, to stomach cancer. All avenues were exhausted over a lengthy period however Atlas lost his battle during an operation to remove the tumour. It has taken our family a long long time to get over losing Atlas and I miss him everyday.

Since that time we added a little Jack Russell girl, Zahra, who keeps up on our toes.

Anyhow we decided to start looking at getting another Boxer. In the last fortnight we have meet two rescue boys, one who was spoken for when we arrived and unfortunately the second didn't work out.

This morning we meet the breeders who we got Atlas from. They had a litter of a little over six week old Boxers. Our hearts were stolen by a bindle bobtail boy who looked much like Atlas. Long story short we promptly decided that, the now named Apollo, is the boy for us. If I could work out how to get pictures on here I will post some.

I'm looking forward to spending more time on the forums. Sorry again for the length.
