Help....................

I have just noticed Sebbi has a very red lower tummy area and around the back of his hind legs and near his butt.

He has been scratching but I just thought as he was going through a moult he needed a bath and a brush.

He was normal on Sunday no redness or itchy.

He is on a straight diet of chicken frames and necks atm as I am trying to get his ears under control. His ears are looking better.

He has spots of blood and hair falling out.

I cannot think of any change in the back yard, in beding, in the car, I have not had the carpet cleaned or had him any where different.

He is up to date for fleas and has been treated for mites.

What could be causing this???

A couple of weeks ago Honey got a contact allergy that sounds pretty similar. She hadnt been anywhere new and it just appeared. ;)

I tried a few home remedies but in the end it got worse and she needed antihistamines. Once she was on them she was immediately improved.

Does he get allergies? Do you have antihistamines on hand?

Honey looked the same allover her groin area/tummy and muzzle. Exacerbated by scratching and licking. Once the itch was taken away she stopped both and it cleared up.

I hope the Malaseb does the trick and stops the itch. ;)

Just got back from the vet, ending up taking him down before his bath as I was really worried that it had come up so quick and the more I looked the more I found

Vet said its an allergy of some sort so he has had antihistimines

Took him for a hydro bath and found a FLEA, a bloody Flea, so he has been flea treated again, bathed, vet checked and treated, his bed is in the wash and I have stuff to flea bomb house, just need to work out what to do with kitties while I bomb

Pandii just pop the kitties into their carry cages and put them somewhere comfortable. It won't hurt them to be in them for the time it takes to bomb and air your house.

Thanks Ams but where is somewhere comfy, I thought about putting them in the Laundry/bathroom which is the furtherest away from the carpet and putting towels along under the door??

Seb is more comfy already, dozing in front of the heater

Is it possible to put them in their crates and have them in the neighbour's garage? I have done a house room by room with towels under the door but the house was a L shape so the living area was almost totally separate. With little kittens it's probably a bit risky in a standard house as the gas would seep into the surrounding rooms.

You could put them in the car and go for a drive.
