Yep - got it on DVD here somewhere, think we bought a copy at the NSW Spec when he judged a match there after the Speciality a couple of years ago. Got a nice glass UAE saluki centre paperweight for Mr Jadir's Inter in Match. I boggled at the prices quoted in this latest one for puppies tho', assume that is USD he is quoting in.... kateshep Posted August 5, 2010 Share Posted August 5, 2010 Thank for posting, very interesting. I thought the comment that they keep the males with females to help teach the pups, interesting too. I know some breeders are conscious of making sure the male is good with young pups while others seem less bothered about it. I don't think they are puppy farming them. They have a alot of dogs yes, but that doesn't mean somebody is indiscriminate and careless. Different culture and mentality to what's DOL is used too. Although the lack of cutsie dog jumpers and designer beds will no doubt draw negative responses from some. Excellent videos and a must see for those who treat their dogs like little people I think. We all have those LOL I should have made myself clearer, it really is possible to have animals extremely well cared for, and as should be obvious to anyone who watches the videos thoroughly socialised not at all lacking in human contact even though they are kenneled and kept in numbers. Many of the old kennels of days gone by kept large numbers of happy healthy dogs that wanted for nothing, and those kennels were not only totally acceptable they were held in high esteem. Times have changed and now anyone who doesn't have the one or 2 sleeping on the bed and only one litter now and again is looked upon by many as pond scum. The other thing that stands out from those videos is that those animals are so highly valued not only in the present day, but for their history something that we are losing with many breeds. The lack of outlets for the traditional purpose of many breeds is sad, there is nothing to compare with watching them in action and seeing why the structure of the breeds is the way it is, why the shape of a foot, the length of neck, the depth of chest or the strength of jaw is so important. OK, I need to clarify, I wasn't saying they are puppy farming them, I cannot see the video, I was asking, that's all. I dont know how well they are being cared for because I cannot see it. Agreed. Makes me very glad mine were never mega-successful in the show ring, but were able to course sucessfully and free run often in a similar landscapes from whence they originally came.
