SearchJane
My beautiful 6 month old staffy Indigo Georgia is today having (what is for all accounts & purposes emergency) surgery to correct her incorrectly diagnosed entropic eyelids. Poor thing. She's had ulcers for a week now with no improvement. Fortunately I tracked down a vet whose specialty is eye ailments, and who took one look and just about hit the roof. I did ask my vet (who I really like BTW) if I should consult with this specialist & the recommendation had been lets wait & see but today after the morning consult I decided to go ahead & see the specialist anyway. Thankfully they slotted me in as an emergency. Poor Indi - she was spayed last week and also has a manky ear so it's all been a bit of a bad week. yellowgirl
Sometimes these things happen all at once don't they? Hope all went well for Indi's surgery and her eyes feel better real soon.
Sandra777
Poor Indi - she'll need lots of extra special love and cuddles If you haven't already done so, please phone her breeder and let them know, this sort of thing in their pups is something any good breeder needs to know about
SearchJane
Well, she has sailed through the surgery beautifully and I have a happy puppy once again! I am so thankful that the vet saw the urgency and acted on it.
