Prag
Hi was just wondering if anyone had ever used these systems before. Hi, Yes I am using one currently for a Sheltie as I am on the 21st floor in an apartment, it is pretty good and he became toilet trained very quickly, at night he sleeps in his crate in my bedroom and I really only had to wake up a couple of times in the night for the first couple of weeks and then he was able to sleep through the night without going. The only issue I have really is that he is now not so keen to do his business outside and will often hold on until we get back upstairs...also it does need to be cleaned and sanitised at least once a week to stop the smell becoming a horrible nuisance...He learned where he was allowed to do his business quickly and now has no accidents (touch wood) If you have any specific questions flick me a msg and I will try to answer as best I can. pomchi
Hi was just wondering if anyone had ever used these systems before. Just be careful of the cheap ones, my lil pup ate all the grass off the top
SammieS
We use one for Asti as we have her inside most of the day while we're at work. She learnt to use it very quickly and even goes on it when its drying in the sun instead of the real grass! I agree the small gets bad and you ahve to clean it once a week, we use BioZet from Coles/Woolies. Asti has pulled at the sides of the grass so we got another grass topper to interchange on a weekly basis and it works well.
Nushie
I have one for my pug and he picked up using it really quickly. I find he is a little picky though as if the grass gets a little too smelly he will hesitate to go up there. So i have 3 lots of grass squares for it and change the grass twice a week. Its really easy to use, pick up solids whenever i see them and empty out the jug of pee every day. Change the grass over on Wednesdays and Saturdays and to clean i use a high pressure hose at the moment. But i think i will have to start using some form of cleaning agent as even after cleaning it still has a whiff of urine smell so i will have to find something to break that smell down. But i am really impressed with it. Jager seems happy to use, i think they are a great idea.
PuppyLove01
Thanks i ended up getting the pup head doggy dunny and yes ive had it for aweek and its great! I had only just set it up and Louie went straight on it, he still has afew accidents but generally he has been using it. Sammie82 i will get some Biozet and use that, i was wondering what the best product was to clean it as the instructions said dont use any harsh detergents. SammieS
where do you get NilOdour drops from? Its a small eye dropper bottle in the detergents/ironing section of Coles/Woolies... you only need 1 drop as its really strong!
