poodlefan
I've just started Howie on Canidae Grain Free All Life Stages (34% protein. 18% fat). He certainly likes it! I'll report back on how he goes on it but its only a part of his diet.
spottychick
I got the sample pack - it's very small and with my two it's barely enough for one handful each. But they like it - which is no surprise - they like anything LOL It is very small - not good for Tango who has been fed watery rice all his life so he tries to lick small kibble like rice and ends up choking if you put an amount in his bowl. But fine for treating while training. He actually took a piece out of my fingers so carefully his teeth barely touched me - that's new for a dog who usually approaches treats in fingers like a whale shark It was very cute watching him lift his lip a little and gingerly reach with the front of his teeth for the tiny morsel in my fingers. I think the kibble just trained him not to grab!!
FHRP
I tried the Canidae All Life Stages on my younger Vizsla as I wanted to try something grain free with him. After two meals he turned his nose up at it He's not what I regard a fussy dog, but definitely the pickiest of my lot. So lucky poodlefan now has a big bag, minus two meals, for Howie

FHRP
FHRP - what do you normally feed your dogs? I use Advance Active and RMBs. I used to BARF feed, but have become lazy Rogan has never been a keen kibble eater, but does eat the Advance, at about 1/4 the speed of all my other dogs I could tell from the first meal he wasn't that keen on the Canidae and the third time he walked away

Are you sure you don't want to try the Canidae Platinum on him.... the poodles could use a bag. Edited August 17, 2010 by poodlefan

Expensive present for a dog that I don't even own I bought a small bag of the Lamb variety to try on my guys. I don't feed a lot of kibble but I like to have a good one on hand for travelling and backup. They ate a couple of pieces each then wouldn't touch it. I guess Howie's getting another late birthday present pf. Edited August 17, 2010 by Diva

Having a garbage guts Whippet has its advantages. I'd be interested to try that one actually. I'll swap you for some GF Life Stages if you like. Happy to try a bit of the Life Stages but you can have the bag of lamb. Even my old, retired and not so fussy now diva (think Oprah in a bad phase) won't have a bar of it. So far the only kibble they find palatable is the giant breed RC and the EP performance. I'm happy with that if needs be but always checking out the options, LOL. FHRP
Oi! I gave the bag to you for Howie I have plenty of garbage guts here that would have eaten the Life Stages but I don't want to feed my old guys high protein, especially as Flynn has already had a blood test showing high protein levels. Polo would snarf it but he's doing fine on the Advance. Edited August 17, 2010 by FHRP

huski
I feed raw to the dogs but I tried my cat on it and she HATED it which was highly unusual for her

roseava
sorry if there is already a topic on this I couldn't find any recent one's.I was thinking about trying the All life stage formula and was wondering if anyone else has been using it and what they thought of it I have my 2 cavs on the chicken and rice. They love it and it has helped with reducing their skin allergies. Big +'s no corn, no soy! Wouldnt mind trying the grain free salmon but dont want to switch them around too much. Change of foods kind of give them really sloppy poops for a few days, This I can live without
