Beach Trip Yesterday

This is Roman. Some of you may remember him from my "Check out this big beautiful boofa and guess the breed" thread from a few months ago. He is just the loveliest dog! He belongs to my best mate.

Luuka has a theory that if another dog beats her to a stick in a game of fetch and she barks at them ferociously then they'll get a fright and drop it. This has worked almost flawlessly up until now, Atlas has cottoned on that there are no consequences for not dropping the stick and Roman wasn't having a bar of it.

So here's a few shots of yesterday's astonishing failure in action:

I just love Luuka's little feets, and when I saw her little paw in the puddle I just about squeeeeee'd to death! Luckily I managed to get a shot

I kind of did some editing on them, but wished I didn't, so that's why some of them look crap and different to the others haha.

ETA: The only annoying part of the day was the idiot who, despite their being MILES UPON MILES UPON MILES OF BEACH, decided to pull up right next to us and let his dogs off the leash, Luuka started running towards them, luckily she came back when I called her and I put her on the long lead just in case. Stupid idiot's dogs ran over to us and he came and got them, I said "popular bit of beach, this" and he goes "yeah it is hey!" I said "nowhere else as good on the whole 10km hey?" and he looked at me puzzled and walked away.

Absolutley gorgeous photos. Luuka is just the pretties little girl. <3 every time i see a photo of her she just looks nicer and nicer. ;)

I didn't think he did anything wrong. He parked where he chose to and let his dogs out and came as got them when they ran over to yours. You were a bit rude IMO.

Fair enough! No question I was rude I guess. I was miffed that he chose to pick the one part of the beach where others were parked, of the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge stretch of beach, why park next to us? If he'd come over and been like "hey is it okay if my dogs play with yours?" it would have been different but I found it to be quite rude, why not go up a bit further? It's a 10km+ beach! He could have kept driving! Anyway thanks for the compliments on Luuka she certainly is growing into a very pretty girl and she's got a personality to match!

Thanks JS! It's a really good feeling to take a couple of nice shots in amongst the hundreds of crap ones I'm loving the continuous shoot mode!

And like I said if he had come up and introduced himself and asked if his dogs and ours could play it would have been fine!

Love the photos Fran, I always love photos that you can 'feel'...... I can 'feel' the fun the dogs are having and I can 'feel' your love for your dog.
