Loving my Oldies
So I don't have to get out of bed to lift them back. They will happily jump off the bed and then pretend they can't jump back on :D They won't used them . . . . . . . . YET
Kirty
Cool! They are very nice steps. Now use them little doggies!
Daisy
they look great! did you get them made specially? You will have to be hard on the doggies now and refuse to get out of bed to lift them back up no matter how much they complain!
Loving my Oldies
they look great! did you get them made specially? No, they are from Innovations ..... AND the best thing: they came fully assembled. The width of the step is a bit narrow, so I think that is putting the dogs off a little bit, but they'll get used to them. dogdogdog
I have got a one of those plastic container boxes next to the bed for Tommy the poodle to use. But the steps look way better on the eye. The beddies have no problems getting on the bed.

Loving my Oldies
The beddies have no problems getting on the bed. Mine don't either ..... they only THINK they do . However, Mufti is too old to even use the steps and Danny is getting on a bit and sometimes feels those increasing years, I think.
Brennan's Mum
They look great, I am sure that your dogs will soon learn how to use the steps confidently
Lady Flying Furball
Very nice. Any progress? We need pictures of the dogs using them
shmoo
Wow that is really good. That would be perfect for Sweep who isn't so confident about jumping up now that he is almost blind. Where is innovations? ETA: Think I found it www.innovations.com.au $129! Think I'll stick with a box for a while http://www.innovations.com.au/Product_Deta...ProductID=85589 Edited July 24, 2010 by shmoo
Loving my Oldies
$129! Think I'll stick with a box for a while I guess it is not exactly cheap, but I like that you can fold it down and put it out of the way. And it is neat -
poodlefan
I've got the plastic steps with the sherpa cover that Deals Direct sell. Linky is here When I first installed them for the older poodles, the only dog that would use them was the Whippet pup. Loving my Oldies
I've got the plastic steps with the sherpa cover that Deals Direct sell. Linky is hereWhen I first installed them for the older poodles, the only dog that would use them was the Whippet pup. I looked at those for a long time, but they are too short for my bed, P/fan, (58cms) and I figured the temptation for little male legs to be lifted was too great. Little Gifts
I got some velour covered stairs from Deals Direct a while back as my old girl can now longer get on the bed without help. She refuses to use them and the younger dog ate the corner off so we continue to do the 'tuck the bum lift anytime she wants up on the bed. kiwioz
Love it! I'm such an idiot though I didn't think of putting steps/box etc next to my bed - Cal is starting to have trouble getting up there by myself. He can do it with a running start just not from a stand still Edited July 25, 2010 by kiwioz
Hafhafa Hounds
They won't use them . . . . . . . . YET They will, soon enough! I have some too (but plastic bought for $30 - not nice wooden ones like that!!). My dogs didn't take long to get the hang of them, but they use them for going up only - they still jump down, so I have put mats where they usually land to soften the landing! Malamum
They look very cute and don't detract from the look of your room either. You will have to post some action pictures of them in use once the dogs get used to them. If it were me I would sit in the middle of bed with lots of treats and also put a treat on each step, and then be tough and don't help them up, force them to use the steps if they want to come up.
