I muddled through my initial question so I've deleted it. Now the problem is I cant find my pic. I saved it and it's in photoshop, I can call it up through there but it's not in my photo files where they normally go. I cant find it anywhere. Can someone give me instructions on how to save it to folder so I can then put it on flickr.

It's been ages since I had PS. Are you comfortable with adding layers? if you are not doing layers happily- then maybe go back and practise - took me ages !

Do you know where the colour thingy is(the black/white squares?) the colour is chosen automatically - but you can toggle back & forth by using the little arrows in between the squares.

 cannot explain things, sorry.

far out, I think I've sort of done it!! although I dont think it's as good as I'd hoped, probably needs more tweaking. dammit, now I cant seem to find it, I've saved it but when I try to upload to flickr it's nowhere to be found. More headbanging!!

search for the file name. you can find the file name in PSs menu: File -> Open Recent -> file name

Or to make life a whole lot easier, simply open the file from the Recent menu and SAVE AS a new file name where you want it

It's magically appeared. dont know why it didn't come up for the previous 20 or so attempts but I seem to have got it now. It's loading onto flickr......at last. Maybe I shouldn't speak too soon, it hasn't finished.

Hmmmm, I'm not liking my chances of it loading, it's still going and just for the hell of it, I tried to find it again in my photos folder and it's disappeared! I might see if I have more luck with photobucket.

11.25am update

Aha!!!! I should've read to the end!! Save as Jpeg!! duh!! Ow, my head hurts! :) Leave me alone long enough and I'll figure it out. so, after many hours of stuffing about, here is my first attempt at the Lomo effect.
