Think you may have to take me off your list :(

All tightness has gone, boobs have not grown, her belly seems to have gone down. Doesnt look good at all. I gather she most probably has reabsorbed or maybe had a phantom.

This has happened twice now. Thinking some testing will now need to be done. :)

I"m so sorry to hear about your bitch oakeydoak1. I hope that you can get to the bottom of what is going on with your girl ;)

My Ruby has been troublesome - this is our third attempt with her, I took her to Monash Vet for a TCI and we have a good sized litter on board (if the 8kg and 20cm she has gained are anything to go by!)

She had a prewhelp checkup today and is booked in for a caesar on Friday the 13th!!! Hope the date doesn't jinx me!

Sorry to hear your news oakeydoke.1., :) that's what happened to me last time (with a different bitch). :)

Took my girl down for a progesterone test today, not ready yet, looks like it could be Wednesday (2nd mating) :)

Fingers crossed all goes well! Expecting around 5.

Looking like it'll be tonight, temp dropped to 36.9 at 3pm, she's very unsettled so the wait begins........ :(

Any news? I hope all is going well! :p

Unfortunately things didn't go well, we ended up with an emergency c-section at 10 this morning after not being able to get onto my vet late last night, it is a 2 hour drive down. Anyway there were 2 very big healthy boys, the other 2 puppies were partly reabsorbed and not much left of them (I suppose they were the girls!)

Had mum desexed at the same time, she's still very dopey & not happy having the puppies. She has lots of milk & they are feeding well, both around 440 gms & eating well.

Thanks for your concerns. :D

So sorry to hear your sad news Maggie-mae.. :( would have been a very long night for you ...were the pups stuck or did she not go into labour properly ?? Hope she is feeling a little better by now and the boys continue to thrive

Sadly she had uterine inertia, she is 7 this month & her only other litter was 5 years ago, so knew it was on the cards(she had 8 last time easily). Had taken her down to see the vet Monday morning as I was a bit worried that she wasn't as big as I'd expected for 4-5 pups as had shown up on ultra sound, had a progesterone test done which showed she wasn't ready yet, another couple of days. Also had an ultrasound done, which showed they were still alive & kicking but apparently when done at a late stage like this is not accurate for doing a head count??? cause they can get behind each other.

The desexing shouldn't alter her milk making though have heard mixed reports on this. Will let you know. :)

cheers,

Jan.

Sorry to hear about your news Maggie mae, I hope mum is better soon, and hope the pups are ok.

1.30 this morning Raven (mum) woke me up to say pups were crying (I had them in a warm box seperate from her in case she bit them). :D She had finally recovered from her trauma and wanted to mother & feed her babies :D Now she's stuck to them  I'll have to drag her out to toilet I think.....

I will put up a photo soon, but they are now weighing 465gm & 450gm, little porkers. Guess I'll have to watch they don't become swimmers as she has stacks of milk!

We had eight baby Cockers arrive five days early on Tuesday (10th Aug.) Unfortunately we lost three - one that was stillborn, and another two littlies the following night. The others are doing well now, there is one little girl who only weighed 90 grams on arrival but is battling on. She has put on 20 grams in the last two days. We have four orange roan girls and one blue roan girl. It's just heartbreaking to lose them but need to focus now on the others and do the best we can for them.
