pie
It is actually pretty common forTAFE students (although you really should call it by it's correct name - TAFE is now Polytechnic West ) to come to dog shows and ask random people with the required breeds if they can take their dogs photo I think Banjo has been photographed a few times. And most people ended up taking photos of the Lappies as well Are you serious?? Crikey. TAFE is so much easier and faster to say
RubyStar
So do you lose points if the photo you take is of a dog that the lecturer in his opinion doesn't meet the breed standard or is not a show dog?
Rach...
I dont think so haha I saw some of the pictures of some of the dogs in other ones and they didnt look to breed standard at all, i think they just have to purebred and not puppies haha
RubyStar
TAFE undergoes a name change every other year it seems! When I was back doing TAFE, it had a few name changes. South East Metropolitan College of TAFE to Swan TAFE, and Midland College of TAFE also to Swan TAFE. And now Polytechnic West Yup, I'm one who will just stick with the word TAFE! Didn't it used to be called "Tech" all those years ago? I remember that's what my sister used to call it. So that will probably be the "new" name again, as a short version of Polytechnic! (which might have been it's old name?) Oh geez, make up yours minds Edited July 19, 2010 by RubyStar

RoxyNHemi
it is a split show, but i know non sporting, utility and toya are on Saturday. I think alot from your list are in these 3 groups.. poodles you would probably want to take photos of a puppy/youngster as an adult will be in a continental trim, which you wouldnt see on an everyday poodle.... She did try having a litter this year, but unfortunately the bitch got Pyometra and had to be steralised, and that was her only young breedable bitch. She survived and thats the main thing! SparkyTansy
that is really sad RnH What a shame you can't have your own selection Rach! Back when i was doing TAFE (Swan days!) it was different subjects (what is the cert you are studying for?). i did Cert II in Animal care part time... i covered subjects like care of dogs and cats and some kind of genetics subject. If they offer you a genetics subject, i highly recommend it. SO interesting! Also, the lecturer for care of dogs and cats was a Goldy breeder... but i have no idea who it was. She was from the UK but that's all i remember! Ths was back befoe the days of me knowing about showing stuff!
