Agility Dogs
Does anyone have this book? What do you think about it? Is it worth getting? I have to admit I gave up on the idea of obedience before I really got into the exercises as such, but the book was really good. I liked how it explained the theory behind clicker training and still use a number of the exercises as part of our basic 'foundation' work. leopuppy04
I hardly refer to it. It's good for a beginner, but I think there are far better books out there Once you get past CD level it really isn't as good as it seems . I like a book that can take me 'all the way' and I can continue to refer to it. I love Kay Laurence's book "Clicker obedience" But I also think that Chris Bach's books/ DVDs are miles more helpful than MS
bedazzledx2
It was great for its time when clicker training was 'new' to the general obedience population. Its a bit dated now and as others have said, there are better books and DVD's available now. If you can get it cheap its worth a look. I think it was around $80 a few years ago. RubyStar
I bought it off ebay last year for about $30, but haven't read it I have a few different books and loads of DVD's and in my usual fashion, I rarely watch/read them The Chris Bach stuff is good, though LP - I got that Kay Laurence stuff on your recommendation about 18 months ago. Can't say I really got far with that, either

Can't say I really got far with that, either LOL - I think the thing that wins me over with Kay is the detailed info about teaching heeling. I used to refer to it for ideas on how I would attack the 'training/ teaching' phase of heeling. As per my usual style - the way I teach now is a collaboration of ideas that works for us - but I did love it for that
