It's not taught, they just naturally go up on their front legs, it looks like their bottoms become weightless and just float up. My Shih Tzu used to do that when she was a puppy after going for a wee. I thought she was just being clean and didn't want to step in it She doesn't do it anymore now that she's bigger.
