Try and visualise your dog as being the boxer of the terrier group and not the weightlifter. Sounds like you're wanting him to be the weightlifter which isn't correct at all. Personally, from what I can see, I wouldn't be wanting much more bulk on him, he looks to be quite balanced already and to bulk him up too much may cause injury. You are talking about putting a back pack on your dog and increasing his work load. If he's out anywhere ( which lots of dogs are ) he will not develop muscle evenly and you may also find you put in a lot of hard work for very little reward.
