Red Fox
Good on you KHM for adding reponsible pet ownership to your class program. I'm sure the kids will enjoy it I am sure they will too - they are really enthusiastic - especially after meeting Earl If Earl is co-teacher I wanna join the class! MsKatie
I can bring Indi in (ex rescue foster dog) and give a talk about rescue if you like. I've done it at my daughters daycare Thanks Ker - that would be great - will PM you to work out a time The AVA are running a PetPep education program - maybe they'd be good to talk to? Have contacted them - there are some good resources there Thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching this. If responsible pet ownership was taught in more schools, it may go some way to furthering intergenerational change, fostering greater respect for animals and result in fewer flippant and inexcusable reasons given when pets are surrendered to rescue groups and pounds. My thoughts exactly and my main reason for teaching this If Earl is co-teacher I wanna join the class! The cutest thing I saw was one of my petite little girls with her arms around Earls neck giving him the biggest cuddle - and he sat there with the goofiest look on his face - and then he went and sat on one of my other kids so she had to give him scratches Big suck up Edited July 16, 2010 by KelpieHoundMum
