Thawed Out Barf

Hi all,

Just a quick question.

I accidently got out 2 x lots of frozen BARF for Wugs,both are now unfrozen,and not realising i already had some out for him,i acciedently left the thawing out BARF on the kitchen sink over night.

Is it safe to still feed?Will it be safe to feed in about 3-4 days if kept in the fridge?OR,can i refreeze it?

Mmmm, I would probably still feed it seeing it's winter. Give it a sniff and see how it smells.

I wouldn't re freeze it though.

My dog eats the Barf patties and we microwave them for 2 minutes after getting out of the freezer so dont have to worry about defrosting.

I have seen some leftovers sit out on her plate all day and she eats when we get home from work and there has been no effect on her so should be OK.

haha sometimes I take meat out of the freezer intended for me and my other half and leave it out over night and still eat it a day or 2 later.

I would. My boy likes to let his sit for a day then he'll eat it. same with bones and dig them up days after I have given them to him.

As its winter and its definitely not hot I'd just put it in the fridge until next feeding time.

Perfectly ok. Re freeze or shove it back in the fridge.

Once defrosting meat you should Never re freeze it !!!

Put it in the fridge and it will be ok for up to a week.
