koalathebear
http://www.torontosun.com/news/torontoandg...6/14527096.html The video and photos are very lovely. I hope they find the right home for the little fellow. Given that he's blind - I wonder what his quality of life will be like, though. Also, how cruel to just dump a blind puppy on a busy street like that :'( Edited June 30, 2010 by koalathebear
spottychick
Being blind shouldn't have any effect on his quality of life - especially if he's born blind - he doesn't know the difference. Many blind dogs live happy lives - including my old girl who went blind later in life. They are supremely adaptable and use their other senses. Can't watch the vid because my adsl just went belly-up and I'm back on dialup - but that little guy looks SO cute. And it looks like he'll end up in a great home given how many people want him. So my guess is his quality of life is going to be just fine

The shelter person said that Celia should be all right if the home already has a gentle dog - they can put bells on the gentle dog and Celia can follow the other dog around

spottychick
Just got the ADSL back online and watched it - she is adorable. I'd take her and Pepper would be a brilliant guide for her - but of course she's not in Australia LOL

Brennan's Mum
What a lovely puppy. I think that she will be just fine provided she get's a wonderful new home. Here in Australia we have Myron Wood who is making a name for himself despite being a blind dog
