pip1981
Welcome back SM, hope you had a lovely holiday, looking forward to seeing you and Bronte girl again, and meeting Brandi! :D Pointees: April is indeed looking very lovely, I look forward to seeing her (and the rest of you) in the flesh tomorrow!! Wizzle: Look forward to meeting you next time LM: 3 CHEERS FOR YOU for putting together a FB group...yay! Love it! I'm still keen on bringing Buffy this Sunday if my cough goes away. But if we come, I might just bring $5. Hope that's ok. Can't think of what to bring. For those unaware, first time I brought Buffy to Kepala, she broke her leg (freak accident beside the pool) Do you think she would remember this, and associate the place with her painful experience? Do we usually have the other runs (i.e. sand and agility) booked too? If so, I might take her to one of those runs first to not freak her out too much. She was quite overwhelmed the first time there, too many off-leash doggies she didn't know what to do with herself. Hey Kelly! As far as I've learned from books/tv and the like, dogs don't have vivid memories of things like us, like moments in time, etc, however I believe they can remember enough to feel frightened/happy/anxious when confronted by familiar smells/sights/sounds, etc, without fully understanding why. Buffy may exhibit some anxiety, however, as you mentioned she did this last time, before her accident, so you will probably never know if it's related to the accident or not. I honestly think she'll be fine, as dogs are much more resilient and 'in the moment' than many of us care to realise, and if we all make Kepala a fun, happy place for her, she's likely to feel comfortable. As Pointees said, I doubt we'll be in the pool area tomorrow anyway, which is where she is more likely to feel anxious, if at all. Oh, and yes, the other runs are available to us, if not already booked, and I doubt they are very busy in July...hehehe. Only crazy dog people still spend all day outside with their pooches in winter! SOOOO, what I mean to say is....PLEASE COME TOMORROW KELLY AND BUFFY!!! Rottisliebe: Sorry to hear a few of your pooches aren't feeling well, I hope they all feel better soon and we look forward to seeing you all again another time! So I am defiantly coming tomorrow with this little bundle of fluff. OMG!!! Yippee *dies of cuteness* Kirty: sorry you can't come, hope you feel better soon. Hopefully, this is the list... Kirty
I'm so disappointed, I was really looking forward to it. If it wasn't so far away I'd probably come but it will take me almost 2 hours to get there. My head is killing me so its probably not the best idea to be driving long distances by myself. Have fun and I am DEFINITELY coming next time! LOL!

I'll just bring what I've got - do we need more cutlery or do you have enough do you think? Just finished making the tater salad. We should be all set to go Just to let everyone know, I had a call today from a lady who is interested in Lappies, (she's spoken to me a couple of times) but she and her hubby are up north near the border and were coming to Melbourne tomorrow and wanted to see some Lappies. Always happy to show off the furkids, but ofcourse I didn't want to miss out on Kepala zoomies - so I hope people don't mind but I told them to come to Kepala and see the Lappies there, (if no-one minds potential puppy people visiting for a bit). I admit I do have an ulteria motive though - this way they can see Evolving's new Lappie puppy!!

keroppiyo
Haha, thanks for adding me and Buffy to the list pip. Told my mum I was going, and she insisted on coming with me, not because she loves dogs (well, i think she loves Buffy), but she was worried about me driving so far by myself.....I swear she still treats me like a baby...so we'll chip in more for food, or both eat less

Oh, and you'll always be her baby p.s I hope no one thinks I'm cruel when they see Tika's coat, still quite a few mats, especially in her big tail, I'm taking it slow getting through her coat, to try and warm her to grooming, she really doesn't like it and is quite used to getting her own way :D

Sankari
Pip: I understand what you mean about Tika's coat. We had so many Sams come in for grooms who were very badly matted and it literally took hours to get through it all. Good idea to warm her to it. I had to warm Charlotte to grooming when i got her too. She used to bite my hand if i touched her tail. She went in for a professional groom when i got her as I just couldnt handle trying to do her. After a few months she eventually let me touch it until she finally allowed me to brush it. I wont say she loves her tail being brushed, but she at least lets me brush it. It does take time for dogs to let us brush them particularly if we acquire them as adults. It can be very difficult at times with some dogs who dislike grooming. The most part Charlotte loves the grooming and smiles at me while i do it, it's just once i get to the tail end she gets nervous and hates it. LM: Hopefully the potential puppy people are interested B&S: Hopefully you get the knee op very soon and will be back at kepala before you know it! See you all in the morning! Pointees
Thanks for the great day guys. :D Alexis and I have to start slow with this water thing. But April had fun! Wasn't too much fun to hanging out my washing (dog blankets) and then do a poo pick up of the yard when I got home. But we had a sleep too.
