oakway
Oh dear, that's not good is it. Don't to harsh with the first vet as some times things can become more complicated and specialist's do need to be contacted. All you can do hope the situation can be resolved as soon as possible and you baby is home with you again as quickly as possible. All the good luck in the world to you. persephone
I'm very glad he is now in good hands.. just don't expect him home too soon- if he is not keeping food down, then he should be hospitalised and kept on a drip , etc. Hope you get some positive news very soon ! abooody
Looks like Buster will be home for good tonight! He's kept all his food down over the past 24 hours and is looking much improved. The vets are very happy wtih his progress. There's still no official diagnosis, but we are waiting for various test results to come in. Thanks for all of your support! shoemonster
Im glad to hear he's on the improve, it sounds similar to my stafford boy, who was in emergency last year with a bloated stomach and refusing food, after a few xrays they couldnt see any blockages but he had pockets of gas in his intestines that werent moving, they opened him up straightened everything out but they still werent sure exactly what was wrong or why it had happened, he was ona drip for a while to rehydrate and he didnt come out of the anaethetic well, it was very scary, but he's all good now and it hasnt happened since (touch wood)
