Chocolate
I've got the vet bedding for the first time and want to wash it. I went to put it in with other bedding but stopped wondering if it would put fluff all over the other blankets. Can you post your experience with the vet bedding. Should it be washed separatley or is it okay to go in with other stuff? Its the vet bedding from the UK advertised on here by Peperone. Thanks in advance. WreckitWhippet
If I have enough for a load I'll wash it by itself, other wise I just chuck it in with the rest of the bedding The only reason I keep it seperate, is because it dries so much faster than other bedding, either in the dryer or on the line. ShesaLikeableBiBear
Wash separately because shelties drop a lot of coat Besides which have enough hair on my bed as the rest sleep there.
SpikesPuppy
I found it best to wash it by itself the first few times, then when dry (takes about 10 minutes lol) use my hand to 'scrape' off the fluff. After a few washes I found the fluff stops and it's fine to wash with other bedding
Bisart Dobes
Most of the fluff is just from where it is cut and the edges lose some coat . I haven't really had any extra or excessive fluff on any of ours and I've been using it for about 6 years now. I wash it with other things and it goes in the dryer which helps to remove all the fluff. I find it really likes some fabric softener as well. ShesaLikeableBiBear
We still have fluff, let alone dog hair, after four years ;)
Joan of Arc
It doesnt fit in our washing machine so we use the Karcher and put it outside. Once its clean we throw it on the line to dry. takes longer unfortunately but that's the only option
Bilbo Baggins
I wash by itself mainly due to size of front loader machine. Some small pieces I use for pups I wash with other bedding. I used it for a litter in summer so hung it out to dry.
becks
Once the newness has warn off (cut edges especially will drop chunks of fluff for a little while) the vet bed gets washed with whatever needs to be washed.

Baileys mum
My vet bed is also still fairly new & I find that it is still fluffy, so I wash it separately too. I find it also tends to drop some fluff in the washing machine,so I usually give the inside of the washing machine a quick wipe to clean it for fluff & puppy hair before using for my clothing & bedding. :D
