Jigsaw
This is Stevie a 2 yr old Cocker Spaniel that was born blind. Stevie has successfully met certification standards in Human Remains Detection. This is a couple of clips of him training - he does one major bump into a trailer but you wouldn't know he was blind. I love watching his tail wagging while he's working! claireybell
Gotta love a wagging cocker tail!! Not that I'm biased (proud cocker owner here). He's a clever boy though!!!!
Cockerlover
Cant keep a cocker down ,the fact that he is blind would increase his other sences . I have a blind girl also who can smell smoke 3 suburbs away !!!
persephone
Don't need eyes to smell bones Should be more of 'em!! (cadaver dogs)
Jake-K9
Definitely enjoys his work! That collision with the trailer sure made me cringe though, poor bugger must've had a headache after that one lol
poocow
Glad to see him enjoying his job - felt bad for him banging into the trailer though. Hes pretty big for a Cocker too, almost bordering on Field size.
Barbnpippa
thanks for sharing, he's very smart! Amazing what dogs can be used for! He is a big boy for a cocker, very cute though and you wouldn't know he's blind!
haylz27
What a clever boy! Thank you for sharing... I have a beagle x cocker and her sense of smell is great too. She's always got her nose to the ground. :D
Gamby
Amazing and congratulations My cocker cross could smell out anything. I wish I had have known more about cadaver dogs when she was a young puppy. Cocker's are just natural sniffers. They have had great success in tracking gaining the title of Tracking Champion
