Boronia
Hi DOLers, apart from vets, is there any person/society/group that does cheaper microchipping? I know that in Gympie the RSPCA and local vets and Council run a $25 (or thereabouts) microchipping day every 6 months or so, it is usually held in conjunction with a pet show along with pet food/suppliers sponsors. Does anyone know if the same sort of service is held near Brisbane?
Greytmate
Yes. Moreton Bay Regional Council holds $10 m/c days regularly. Give them a call.
mita
Here's the info on the next microchipping day held by Moreton Bay Council....cost is $10. It'll be in October, date to be set. http://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/discover.aspx?id=31649 The Brisbane Council has also had low-cost microchipping during their Open Days at their pounds. Check with them, too, if they're having a similar event soon.

They charge $62.50 eeeeek, Our vet only charges $45....I am a bit of a tight ar*e though
MrsD
Dogs Queensland run microchipping & vaccination days at Durack throughout the year, the dog has to be registered with Dogs Queensland to be eligible though.

Fit for a King
If your dogs are pedigreed and registered with the CCCQ (or DQ as they are now known) then they have health days at Durack and m/c is $30 from memory but you must take the rego papers with you.
