She is so beautiful, Kirislin! :)

And it seems she has a passion for landscaping

She loves water (so do lots of GHs)...

I wish someone would tell that to Alex... the silly goose is scared of water in all its forms. The hose is his enemy and he won't step inside the bathroom. He won't even come to the door.

ah - she's just being a "collector"

That exactly right, Ebony collects all sorts of funny things and puts them in one of her beds.....gosh Bosely must have been bored out of her brain in kennels and now she is having so much fun, its so good to see her enjoying her new life so much.

This is what I cant help thinking about racing greyhounds.

Most racing greyhounds don't just sit in their kennels all day  . Some days, they'll head off early to trial. If they are not trialling, then they will be walked or galloped almost every day. They will also be checked for injuries / soreness etc. They are also taken out of their kennels quite a few times a day to go to the toilet. And most kennels have a radio or TV going most of the time too  . Sometimes I think that racing greyhounds actually get more interaction with humans than some pet dogs do.

Gorgeous pics......she looks like such a fun dog. I love greyhounds & would love we if I didn't have the Std Poodles.

They call poodles the clowns of the dog world....but I reckon that greyhounds must come a close second. ( I mean that in the most complimentry way!......before anyone tells me how clever they are!!)

She's still with me Trish and is booked in to go to GAP in a little over a month. As I understand it they will foster her for a while themselves and then re assess her but in the mean time her owner and I will be working on socialising her more as well. She will be going on holidays with her owners in a few days time and they'll be taking her fishing and all sorts of stuff. Hopefully when she goes back to GAP she will be the most laid back unflappable dog they ever saw.

edited for grammar, and it's probably still wrong

  • 1 month later...

Update and good news for Bosley. She went back to GAP a couple of weeks ago and was put into their foster care and they noticed she was much improved from her first assessment. Apparently she is even cat friendly which didn't come from any training I did with her, it must just be her natural friendly nature. She's gone with a foster carer now who it seems plans on keeping her if it works out. I am so pleased for her.

Now her owners have another dog for me to work on. Tiggy, litter brother to Drill 'em who is a super star. Tiggy was a handy race dog but not of the same class as his brother. He's just been desexed so I'll give him a few days and then start taking him to the park etc like I did for his little sister Bos.
