Poor Mindy

Today Mindy had 3 accidents in the house (she hasn't had one for a few days now so this is unusual). I also noticed she seemed to be peeing alot but only tiny amounts coming out.

When I was rubbing her tummy I noticed she had a discharge  On closer inspection she also has some little pustules (looks like pimples) around that area as well. She is off to the vet at 4.30 today, hopefully we can get this cleared up quickly.

On our usual 5 min walk today I noticed she wasn't really herself and was quite scared and jumpy- I wonder if this is related, she seems a bit young to be in the first fear period (only 9 weeks)? Maybe she was upset because she wasn't feeling well? Just yesterday she was up at a busy shopping center and was absolutely fine.

She is eating well and seems fairly bright, so hopefully it is just a simple UTI and the pimples are just a result of that area being wet a lot.

Fear periods don't come right on time, they're just approx. time lines.

I suppose, but in that case I've missed out on most of the socialization period! I've only had her a week!

Relax, you haven't  Just focus on getting her feeling better and everything else will fall into place, you're doing the right thing.

I wouldn't freak out yet ok, many pups even pups who have been very actively out and about in their socialisation periods do still have scary moments.

You feeling up tight about it isn't going to help pup.

If you are worried you can make an appointment with a Behaviourist.

For now I would just let the Vet do their thing and see how she is after she's better but I would just ignore the things she seems jumpy at.
