FHRP
I have a trip to Rutherglen area planned with two of my dogs in early July. I'd love to take them to 'see snow' and was wondering if any Victorians can recommend any places that might have snow at that time that I can take dogs?? I was thinking somewhere around Bright might be a go?? It might be too early in the season though....
dancinbcs
Dinner Plains is the only snow area in Australia that allows dogs.
Linda K
not that area, but they do sometimes get snow at Mt Macedon, other than that, just keep the ears peeled for anytime they talk about snow on the hills close to Melbourne, and then go for a drive. BoStoNmAdNeSs
Lake Mountain Ski resort is not far from Marysville (bushfire devastated area). They need the tourist $$ back up through there. You can camp at Eildon (I think about a 40 min drive) with your dogs at the Blue Gums Caravan Park. Very dog friendly and they have cabins. Its a beautiful park. Love it there. trifecta
You never know, FHRP, we may wake up to snow in the morning at Bungendore - it is sleeting tonight & the escarpment often gets a dusting in winter.

mmoo
Hi FHRP I think you will find that where there is snow there is National Parks which equals no dogs.
