Cert Iv In Vet Nursing

I want to undertake Cert IV in Vet Nursing next year, I was looking it up on the TAFE Qld site and all I could find was this.

I don't know if its just mycomputer illiteracy or what but I'm finding it hard to find info about it.

I'm guessing looking at this I'd be doing it by distance which is cool, I remember reading somewhere that you need 15 hours a week paid empliymetn at a Vet's to undertake it.

Has anyone here done theirs in Qld? How long is it? How expensive? Do you think it set you up well?

we have one of their mentors/assesors in our clinic here in Victoria.

Personalyy I went through Box Hill Tafe but I am not sure if they take interstate students.

AIRC has a very very good reputation.

And YES....you need a minimum of 15 hours per week of employment.

I think you can do cert II in Animal Studies without employment, but I suggest you check on that too.

In NSW you have to complete the cert II in Animal Studies before you are accepted into Vet nursing. I only know because I am waiting to hear if I have accepted into the cert II Animal Studies (as you have to submit an application form). This course goes for about six months. After you have finished you then have to submit another application for Vet nursing along with written evidence a vet clinic will either employ you or except you as work experience, however I am not sure of how long or how many hours you have to work for at this stage as I assume you find that information after you have completed the cert II Animal Studies. I am planning on doing Vet nursing next year.
