OSoSwift
The polar fleece pj's you can get from memebrs market place in off topic, there are some that look a bit like horse rugs, and some with legs. Or you can make some if you have a sewing machine, it is reasonably easy. She is a very cute little baby.
poodlefan
Atua, I hope Charlie comes from a proven show breeder. Its a competitive breed - no walk over to title a dog, that's for sure. Best of luck with her.. they are a pleasure to have around.

She comes from a breeder who has bred and shown Whippets for 35 years. The mother is a 3x Best in Show winner and the sire is a Runner up in show winner. We are really happy with the breeder since speaking as she seems a reall knowledgeable lady and very helpful. We had a choice from 3 puppies of we ourselves chose the parti coloured girl. She will be a pet first and foremost and a show dog second.

From what I was reading it could take years to get a lovely dog. I guess it helps that we are willing to travel to pick up the right puppy. We have a 4 hour drive to pick the puppy up but I believe she will be well worth it. It just happened that the first breeder I contacted from DOL breeder pages had a current litter and I took a liking to the breeder via our phone conversation. I prefer to have a good relationship with a breeder rather than none at all. Seeming we will be first time Whippet owners I would like to feel I could call if I had any problems later down the track.
