So its time to finally learn how to use this thing!!

I have had a look through the manual and as with most things I learn so much better from watching that reading.

I have found this site http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101.html which is great but wondering if anyone else had other suggestions. Just wanting the basics then im off to play!

YouTube is surprisingly very lacking.

There's an Aussie strobist group on Flickr. Keep an eye out for meets in your area. They arrange locations, MUAs, models, etc. and everyone brings along all their gear. You only have to pay a small fee to cover costs. I went to one and although it was quite daunting I did learn stuff

Strobist groups are great for learning - lots and lots of tutorials and get togethers.

You've already found the strobist blogspot... that's a good one.
