Rhonda Evans....

I have not got the email - but when I saw the subject "Rhonda Evans" It all clicked that I had just read a post on a pomeranian forum I belong to and this information might help out a few of you who received the email....

There was a post that titled "Preparing for RSPCA inspection" - Not sure but I think Rhonda was a top Chihuahua breeder in Queensland and had her dogs taken off her as well as coped a $300,000 fine, because the RSPCA is now targeting good ethical breeders with top breeding stock because they can take the dogs off the owners by fabricating evidence against the breeders and sell the pups and dogs for 100% profit. Well that is how I red it.

And in regards to everyone saying their details are not listed on RSPCA - Apparently it is explained in this article that RSPCA have full access to the microchip database through a contract with DEEDI - So theoretically if this is so, then the RSPCA have all our details, from how many dogs we own to how many complaints we have!

I will try and get permission to cross post so that you can all have a read of it - whether it is true or not, it still scares me reading about the claims of what the rspca are doing behind closed doors!

I got one too.

The theory of the emails being on RSPCA databases is flawed - the email I provide on microchips is not the same one I was emailed on with this bit of hysteria.

There is a fairly similar vain article on the net somewhere but from a cattle breeders perspective. I have no idea if it is true or not, but it is very scary.

My only dealings with the RSPCA was years ago when I neighbour made a complaint that our dogs were in tiny pens. But it was a deceptive angle and the inspector who came out laughed and said her dogs were in a smaller area.

I think though, that the tide IS turning, especially with this debarking thing going on in Victoria, and seeming to be starting up here in NSW. It is a BIG worry, and I think we have to try very hard to stay squeaky clean.

ah yes isn't it hard - I have a girl who is the best candidate to be debarked! but there is nothing I can do about it, all my other poms (all 5) are quite as mice - I can ask my neighbour to lodge a complaint and then have the go ahead to debark her because of the council notice is need as proof for debarking but where does that leave me - I will have a tarnished record and will the council then go ahead and tell me that I can only have 'x' amount of dogs because of the noise complaint!

I tried a bark collar but its hard with a heavy coated breed and I show the girl so I can't really win

its all getting a little too scary for my liking!
