cheb
Hey, my 3year old dog suffers anxiety when left at home alone. Constant barking and scares himself. He is now even scared of next door neighbours windows if the are open. We are now getting alot of noise complaints and confused what to do?? Any suggestions?? corvus
Get a vet behaviourist to see him. Anxiety is a really complex problem and the symptoms can be caused by different things. I think it pays to get it properly diagnosed and get a treatment program prepared especially for him.

X2 if you ask on here, someone will recommend a suitable person for you . best of luck with it - No fun getting complaints- and certainly no fun for your dog
Vickie
agreed that getting professional advice is best. In the meantime, how long & often is he alone? can he cope if you are home but in another part of the house? ie if he is outside & you are in or vice versa? What is your routine with him before you leave? what is your routine with him when you arrive home? How you deal with the last 2 situations can certainly make a difference in a dogs anxiety while you are out. It might also be a good idea to drop a quick note in your neighbours mailboxes & let them know that you are aware of the problem & will be doing your best to fix it.
