Hello everyone I have been looking around and reading alot of post and was wondering. Why do people say "Only unethical breeders call them ENGLISH staffordshire bullterriers or staffies" what is wrong with calling them english staffords or staffies? Is it a crime? Please help me but gentle I'm new

It's Staffordshire Bull Terrier or Stafford

English is reserved for the BYBer and those with no idea about the breed, they seem to think it's a way to diffentiate between the Amstaff ( American Staffordshire Terrier ) and the Stafford.

"Staffy" is the name for the generic brindle dog, anything that's below knee height, which may or may not be SBT or a cross.

I always just think of it this way.....Staffordshire is in England so it would be like calling them English, English Bull Terriers :) ...yes I know, I've had a couple of vinos on a Wednesday night :)
