Kaiserthewei
As the title suggests my 2 year old weimaraner has got something going on with his nose.. Its not unusual for his nose to be dry or wet and sometimes one nostril a bit runny. But a few days ago the snot looks a bit thicker and is drying in his nostrils and the his nose is very dry. Under his nose is very pink/red and has spread to his lips and they look pretty red. Now on his nose and bit where his nose meets his lips its bright pink, like a pigment change. I applyed vasaline to the area on sunday. It just doesnt seem to be going away. This morning he has been eating grass, and the snot in his nose is wet but thick. But he sometimes just eats grass when hes 100% healthy. Has anyone else had this with their dog? Any suggestions? Im in SE Qld and its become alot colder in the last week or so. Could it just be a cold? I have taken him to the vet before when he had a runny nose as he had some sort of sinus infection and was prescribed anti-biotics. I dont want to take him to the vet if its just a change in weather thing but I dont want to NOT take him if its something serious. I just wanted to get some ideas on what it could be first. Thanks!
