Kavik Posted June 19, 2010 Share Posted June 19, 2010 i havnt worked a KNPV dutchie yet so its hard to judge the 2 yet I have found the KNPV line dutchies and malinois to be a lot more civil than there FCI line counterparts. 'fake pedigree'. It is impossible to get a Belgian Malinois or Dutch Shepherd with FCI pedigree papers which aren't fake. Can you elaborate on this please? nickojoy- why do you say: There is no quality ones here 'yet' in Australia Just curious.. If you have a look on www.specialistcanines.com there is a lot of information on Dutch Shepherds including input from the two breeders of them in the country. Over the years many KNPV line Xmalinois and Xdutch shepherds have been able to gain FCI pedigree papers, when you do some research you will find out how prolific this is. I know that there were some Dutch Shepherds X around. They are not that common so I would ask a breeder in your state or look at some old advertisement of people advertising Dutch Shepherd pups and that might give you some idea. Depends on the dogs upbringing it is hard to say whether it is his soft character or he has been mistreated. I would like to see a picture of the dog side on. Nekhbet Posted February 21, 2011 Share Posted February 21, 2011 (edited) the dutchie crosses are not old enough to be this dog. Banjuicy you seem to be intent your dog is a dutch shepherd. Considering its size and where it came from your chances are slim to none. Either way you have not seem to have saught a trainer who can help you with the trouble you seem to be having with the dog - you dont need a dutchie specialist you need a trainer who knows about herding dogs. As I said in the other thread, you would certainly know by your dogs behaviour if it was cross with any of the Dutch Shepherds that are in Australia. Going by the look of you're dog and having seen and worked with the breed in several countries I highly doubt the dog you have has any Dutch Shepherd in it.
