Play Growls

I think most dogs are pretty good at recognising what another dog's vocalisation is about. It's whether they choose to acknowledge what they're being "told" by the other dog that's important when it comes to dog to dog interactions.

In the pinned section in General Discussion I've posted some links to studies done on dog vocalisations - go to the last post. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=187600

One of mine is play growling right now while playing bitey face with the other.

I suppose it would look bad to others as there are teeth and growls going everywhere but they are just playing with no one getting hurt or even losing fur.

The other does not make much noise unless she gets 'hurt' in this play fighting (eg a hair pulled) out and then all hell breaks lose. She is a little sook.
