Rileys mum
I have noticed my local supermarket stocks a lot of those fresh meat refrigerated dog foods. I'm currently making my own raw meat patties ( and enjoying it I must say) but when I saw these meats the other day I wondered if they were any good. For all the raw feeders..... Do u think these meat rolls could b used instead of the patties I'm making? ( I would of course feed his daily raw meaty bones on top of it )
ShesaLikeableBiBear
We avoid supermarket foods, either as dry or in meat rolls. Have a look at the ingredients and guaranteed analysis. Personally I would stick with making your own patties.
Mr R & NR
If they are what I am thinking of I don't think you will find they are raw. They are cooked and not very good quality. Stick with real raw
spottychick
Unless there's some other kind of roll for dogs the one I'm thinking of (one of them is VIP brand) are cooked as MR & NR said. I have bought them at times when I can't get raw food sorted for some reason or just as a change. They are better than most of the other muck you find in the supermarket. The only other dog food I buy in supermarkets is the Natures Gift canned chicken varieties (mostly for my stone-forming dally). But if you are desperate and have no other options available then the dog roll is the best of the supermarket options.
dianed
For a bit of a change from raw I once tried both the VIP and the Scotty,s Premium Rolls which are advertised as preservative free but my dogs didn't fancy them.. They ate a bit of the Scotty,s Pro Peak which smelt strongly of garlic, as with all our reject food the resident magpies really loved it. If I had dogs that ate them I,d probably say the Scottys Rolls are what I would get as some have a high vegetable content.
Burkes
I've used the rolls when I'm desperate but it makes the dogs fart
puglvr
We use the Prime 100 dog rolls. They also have rolls of mince. I'm not sure they are available in the supermarkets but I know they are stocked at Tasman meats. They have a website. www.primepetfood.com I think

JulesP
Prime do raw loaves. I don't mind the Ecopet loaves either.
