How about this company ?

Owner is Finnish and has lots of experience bringing dogs from Finland.

Thankyou I will contact them now and ask for a quote.

Though I have found that quotes from Australian based companies are more expensive than companies in the country of origin.

But I will give pet carriers a try and see what they come up with for Finland - Australia.

If anyone knows of any others please let me know as I am sourcing quotes atm.

cheers

it probably isn't the case for you but I'm bringing a dog from Hungary...I got a quote from an Aussie agent and then breeder told me she can fly him from Hungary with no agent...she just puts him on the flight and quarantine pick him up from the airport.....the difference was over $2,500

Can I suggest that you email this agent in Sweden - she may be able to give you a Finland contact as she has just put me in touch with a Norweign agent.

I brought a bitch pup from Sweden using Jetpets & Scandipets were their agent. Everything went very smoothly. I preferred, for my own piece of mind, to have an Australian agent involved. Jetpets oganised all import permits, flights, timelines for vaccinations & vet examinations etc so the process was quite painless. Finland will be slightly different as it is a Category 4 country & there will be the required Rabies vacc & titre tests....so it will take substantially longer. If it is a pup, the minimum age for entry to Australia will be 8 months (and then 30 days in quarantine) if all bloodwork etc comply with AQIS requirements.

Thanks HH

pup(s) are coming from non-AQIS approved countries

so am using Finland as intermediary.

I will contact Scandipets - thankyou :(

I have contacted domestic carriers (ie Jetpets) but they seemed at a loss wrt Ukraine/Siberia/Belorussia as ultimate country of origin and wanted to charge exhorbatant interpretor fees which are not necessary.
