Full Blade/skip Blade For Wahl

 Share

Recommended Posts

I am about to buy a new blade for my Wahl ss clippers. I currently use a 10 blade and attach SS combs to get a longer cut usually the 3/8comb which give about a 10mm cut. The blade I'm going to buy is either a No 4 or No 3 (haven't decided yet) but what I need to know is whats the difference between the full blade and the skip blade. I think I just need the full blade but would like to know the difference between the two. Hoping someone can explain.

skip tooths do a rough cut for getting the length off but still need tidying up afterwards. Used to get off a matted coat before a bath

F blades do a much neater job, especially on a freshly bathed coat.

Yes, but I have found the skip tooth is better for the Oodle type coats as they leave them more naturally shaggy.

Oh & you shouldn't worry about nicking them if you know how to use them correctly
