tlc
I am about to buy a new blade for my Wahl ss clippers. I currently use a 10 blade and attach SS combs to get a longer cut usually the 3/8comb which give about a 10mm cut. The blade I'm going to buy is either a No 4 or No 3 (haven't decided yet) but what I need to know is whats the difference between the full blade and the skip blade. I think I just need the full blade but would like to know the difference between the two. Hoping someone can explain.
becks
skip tooths do a rough cut for getting the length off but still need tidying up afterwards. Used to get off a matted coat before a bath F blades do a much neater job, especially on a freshly bathed coat.
felix
Plus, you are less likely to cut your dog accidentaly with full blade. Skip blade can sometimes graze the skin, if you are not very careful.

Silverblue
Yes, but I have found the skip tooth is better for the Oodle type coats as they leave them more naturally shaggy. Oh & you shouldn't worry about nicking them if you know how to use them correctly Edited May 8, 2010 by Silverblue
