Michelleva
Our 4 month old puppy who we've had for just over a week likes to do her business on the concrete entertaining area, instead of on the grass. It really started because when she arrived we had days and days of rain, and she obviously didn't like getting her dainty little feet wet. I've moved the poo onto the grass where I want her to go. Any other ideas? She's piddling on the concrete too, even though the rain has stopped now.

If not, put her on the lead and take her onto the grass and wait until she pees/poos. When she does praise her like mad for doing it in the right spot. If you repeat this every time for a few weeks hopefully she'll get the idea that she pees and poops on the grass not the concrete.
Michelleva
Thanks Bundy, the vet gave me exactly the same advice. So I've just been outside with her, she had her lunch, then a play then I put the lead on her and waited and waited. I waited for about 30 mins, and in the end she went so sleep at my feet. So I've put her in the crate for a nap, I'll get her up in 1/2 hour and try again. I had treats at the ready. Now I can clean the concrete while she's having her rest. Michelleva
I'm happy to report that Georgia hasn't used the concrete as a toileting spot for a couple of days now. She's such a smart girl and picks things up very easily. Now I need to get her to stop redesigning the garden beds.
RoxyNHemi
ive heard, from someone who has proof, that it can be an age thing at times. Her theory worked for me, My Hemi took to doing it on the back patio, he now has gone back to doing it on the grass
