I'm Trapped!

Ever been trapped in a room because one of your animals is sleeping next to you or on you and you just can't bring yourself to disturb them? I'm actually quite hungry, but the boys are flaked out together on my study floor right behind my chair and if I get up they'll both wake up and come with me and there's just no need! As soon as I make lunch I'm coming back in here. I have this really strong desire to not have them get up needlessly. When I think about it, it's totally absurd. They obviously want to get up when I do because no one is making them.

All the same... I'm still hungry and I'm still sitting here watching them snooze together as if they can't instantly go back to sleep the moment nothing interesting is happening.

Cooper (my oldest boy) is 18 kilos and likes to have his little cuddle on the bed at night so if I am sitting up with my little lappy on my knee he likes to curl up between my legs and there he likes to stay for as long as he can get away with. and that is usually till the whole lower part of my body is so numb I cant feel anything from being spread legged in the same position for so long. He is just sleeping so peacfully and I love that he wants to be cuddled up I just don't have the heart to move him!! So I totally know what you mean. On a side note, he makes a great table for my laptop!! :(

Totally trapped ;)

Our 2 sleep either side of you to trap us in bed... funniest thing ever, and they are deadweights when we try to move them.

Then, if we go near them, they huff at us and give us evils!

:rofl: ;) BF had this exact problem in bed last night! Then got grumpy at me because it was my fault he was uncomfortable and couldn't move because 'my' dogs had him trapped and he felt bad for moving them since they looked so cute and comfy.

Honestly couldn't have planned it better - all three on one side and a whole half a bed ALL to myself

Not while I'm awake, I'll just move them, but ever so gently.

But I am currently nursing a bad neck because I've slept like a pretzel for the last two nights. Seems Bronte, who in summer sleeps at the end of the bed, and my cat, who in summer sleeps in the dog crate (go figure) or in the lounge, have decided its now winter and I'm their personal body heater. I now sleep with my cat in the crook of my legs or small of my back and Bronte in a tight ball up near my chest. This works fine until I try and turn over, at which point I throw out my neck or back trying to move without upsetting them and trying to rearrange myself around them - hence pretzel!

you're lucky!

charlie takes half the bed and the boyfriend, Emmy and I have to share the other side... he is the only one who is the most comfortable and has the best night sleep. he is also the one who sleep the longest to but isn't the morning dog either.. he will groan and grumble if we make him get up to start the day.. he goes into the living room looking for his living room bed.

Thanks for that I now have the perfect excuse next time I'm late for work, my 2 dogs were asleep next to me in bed and I didn't have the heart to wake them! My father used to do this my dog Lady would sit on his lap in the chair and I'd come home from being up at the horse for couple of hours and he hadn't had any lunch (WHY)? because Lady was comfortable and he didn't want to disturb her !

When Loulou was here I use to have Gilly on one side and LL on the other.

It was often impossible to move.

I had to physically shove them, because they would do the dead weight thing.

Gilly sleeps on top of the bed in summer and under the blankets in winter.

You know when winter is coming, when Gilly does the bed dive.

Gilly is now wearing his DOLOFA hoodie, its cold in the mornings here now.
