Bohunt
Full Listhttp://www.royalshow.com.au/pdf/2010/2010_...ow_Schedule.pdf Thanks for that Sway - my Journal is not here yet so appreciated the lookie see. A quick question ........ are there no online entries like last year? I know Estelle had lots of dramas so it won't surprise me if this is so. I said last year, I would never do the Royal again - sigh ....... what a difference a year makes and I'll have to eat my words! Bohunt
Cannot believe the judge with the GSD experience is not doing GSDs. I was led to believe (some months ago) that the Canadian with the Terrier experience was judging Terriers. I see now we have the Japanese judge. Be a bit of hard work for breeds like ours :D - just little brown dogs that don't look groomed and flashy, but I now have an attitude that the Royal is the show where I catch up with everyone I haven't seen for a while and have a bit of fun. Anything more than that is a bonus and I am sure there are some exhibitors who are  with the excitement of seeing who is judging. Plenty of other shows in the year. I know there were some real dramas for the organisers with the RAS changing the dates and judges having signed contracts years ahead. Good to see this did not break their stride. These people do everything they can to help and support the exhibitors but the RAS almost works against them. Standing ovation for the people that work on this and do everything in their power to go into battle for us and our dogs. Gaela

LOL So glad it still says 5pm (thats long enough) - I'll happily battle the traffic There are Sweepstakes each day(except Friday 24th) starting at 6pm, so if people want to stay longer you probably can .......... So many Sweepstakes !!!! with many of them on the Monday / Tuesday ... bit of an "anti climax" isn't it with BIS being judged on the Saturday ? Blakbelgian
The many sweepstakes scheduled could be interesting, and why run most of them the day after General Specials? Why not in the middle of the royal? One advantage I can seee for participating in the nightly sweepstakes is avoiding the ques out the gate, then for parking along the road, then driving past Flemington at a snail pace. Plus once you have been judged you CAN LEAVE don't have to hang around afterwards. BB
