Noahs Ark

Well, the media tells me this morning that they have found Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat. Of course Souff knew it was there all the time but people dont always believe Souff ... dont know why. :cheer:

Now the fun begins .......

Only 2 of each SPECIES were taken on board by Mr and Mrs Noah.

So there were 2 dogs, and one presumes there was 1 male and 1 female.

The burning question is: WHICH BREED OF DOG?

I can see that the hound group will be claiming they were definitely hounds.

The herding people will be claiming, no, they had to be herders to help get all those other animals rounded up and on to the ark in the first place.

The terrier group will be claiming they would have been terriers to keep the rats and mice from being in plague proportions and eating all the grain that had been kept safe from the flood.

And so on and so forth ......

DNA "experts" will be wanting to crawl all over the poor old ark ...... and then will try to tell us that everything from a Yorkie to a Great Dane were on board.

:cheer: Oh yes, this could be as good or better than the "was the wolf or the dingo first?" conundrum. hehe

Well they certaintly weren't gun dogs.

Nope, no gun dogs on board. No guns back then.

I suppose the cat people will also be clawing to claim which breed of cat was in the ark too.

That could get ugly ......

Yeah yeah yeah .... that is what the wolf theory devotees will be saying.

Perhaps Australia and Asia remained untouched by the flood ... so the dingoes were safe anyway.

And was Noah's Ark before or after the Pyramids were built and the hanging gardens of Babylon .... will have to get a time line in here somewhere.

Could get very messy.

There dogs illustrated in carvings in ancient Egyptian and Babylonian architecture , and there are cave art dogs in France and India and other places ... I mean how do we know that Noah got them all on to the boat anyway?

WOnder if he asked the RSPCA to help him .....

Everyone laughed at him for building such a big boat and they ended up blowing bubbles, while he saved the animals and the birds and things

Best rescuer ever .... though he could have tossed the snakes overboard.

OMG, I just realised something......

Kev's climate change disciples who maintain that the sea levels are rising will be latching on to this ..... there will be another ark being built on a property somewhere, modelled on the Mt Ararat version.

Yes, you will soon be able to buy Ark Plans on the net, alongside the organic mung beans and Mt Ararat soil to rub into wrinkles will be available in cans (packaged in China of course).

Haha RSPCA guess you have no foot to stand on now with breeding.

If Noah only took two dogs...that means ALL of our dog breeds are interbred and closely related!

Oh I think ole Jed will like your answer .... will probably send it on to Jemima Scuttlebutt. :)

Sorry to burst your bubble here Souff but the RSPCA would have been waiting to charge Noah for Cruelty. All those animals confined on a boat without being able to go out and exercise. Very very cruel, even though they were being saved. It is better to let them drown than to save them you know.

As for the new ark perhaps thats what the new shipyard in Adelaide is for. Its not for building new destroyers after all.

Noah would never have got development approval from his local council for building such a large structure on his property, plus he would not have been allowed to 'collect' so many animals (seen as hoarding) and keep them in a confined place.

He would have needed to provide refrigeration facilities for the carnivores food which then raises the question of power - as he didn't have a permanent address, the energy company would not have hooked him up. Also which animals were sacrificed for carnivore food.........?????

Just another fairy story....lol

As well as building approval all the wood would have to come from sustainable sources. Can't just go and chop down a forest even though it was going to be flooded anyway.

Not too mention that every animal must have its own individual food bowl.

Could you imagine all the noise on that boat??

If Noah and his band of merry men only saved two of each animal, all animals after the first generation are the result of incest. And if there wasn't one of each sex then... Oh dear....

And what did they eat? I'm pretty sure they didn't have fridges in those days, so how did the carnivores survive? Perhaps they actually took a lot more than 2 of each, but they only had 2 of each when they finished...
