A woman has been committed to stand trial for allegedly stabbing a police dog during a confrontation at a Brisbane home.

Christine Louise Thomson, 32, of Raceview, appeared briefly in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday over allegations she repeatedly stabbed the dog after ramming a police car parked outside a house in Runcorn on August 19 last year.

It's alleged she then threatened the dog handler before being shot in the shoulder by a detective.

Thomson was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder, but these were formally dropped on Tuesday when she was committed to stand trial on one count of injuring a police dog.

She was also committed to stand trial on 16 property and motor vehicle offences which were allegedly committed at various addresses in Brisbane in early August last year.

Thomson also faces two counts of striking a person to resist arrest and one of obstructing a police officer.

No further details of the alleged offences were given in court, however the crown tendered statements from 29 witnesses.

Thomson entered no plea and made no application for bail.

She was remanded to appear in the Brisbane District Court at a date to be fixed.

Hope the Police Dog Recovers .... some people really just dont think.... Oh yes.. injuring the police dog after ive already rammed a police vehicle will surely make the cops leave me alone.. yeup ;)
